The Šedivák Microbrewery was founded in June 2014 in order to keep the pub open which had been operating here for over twenty years. The cost of classic beers from major breweries was too expensive for the pub’s guests, so the owner decided to produce his own beer. Estimated annual production was about 800 hectoliters. The beer is markedly bitter. We use only Czech raw ingredients in our production.
Currently we have plans to expand the capacity of the brewery due to increased demand; we’re just waiting for suitable premises.
The microbrewery is part of the pub which is located in Prague 8 at Katovická 410, Bohnice. The pub allowed smoking until June 2017, when it’s no longer permitted due to new legislation. We have a big garden, though, so at least our smokers will be satisfied in the summer.
The microbrewery specializes mostly in draft 10° and classic lager 12°. From time to time a special beer will appear on tap. The microbrewery has been successful with its dark and semi-dark 14° as well as its Ale beers.
All the produced beers can be tasted in our pub, but you can arrange an appointment to take some beer with you either in a keg or in bottles.
Arrangements can be made to tour the brewery in the company of an experienced brewer.
